The short version
Crop Ayushman Card does not have a server that stores or even sees your Ayushman Card PDF, image, or photo. Every crop, resize, and compression happens inside your own browser using JavaScript. Your file is read from your device into memory, processed, and offered back to you as a download. It is never transmitted anywhere.
How the tools actually work
When you choose a PDF, the page uses the open-source pdf.js library
to render it directly in your browser tab. When you choose an image, the browser's
built-in
createImageBitmap API reads it locally. The crop you draw is
applied using the HTML <canvas> element, and the result
is turned into a downloadable file with your browser's own image-encoding
APIs. At no point in this process does the file content get sent over the
network. You can confirm this yourself with your browser's network inspector:
no upload request will appear.
What we do collect
Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs standard technical request data for security and reliability, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This is infrastructure-level logging common to virtually all websites, and it does not include the contents of any file you crop or resize.
We also use Google Analytics to see, in aggregate, how many people use the site and which pages they visit. Google Analytics collects things like your approximate location (city or region level), device and browser type, and the pages you view. It has no access to, and never receives, the file you upload. Google's own privacy policy governs how that data is handled. We do not run advertising trackers, and we don't use this data to build a profile of you individually; it's used to understand overall site usage.
Cookies and local storage
Google Analytics sets a small number of cookies to distinguish visits and visitors; see the section above for what that data includes. Beyond that, this site sets no tracking cookies of its own. Your browser may also cache static assets (like the page's CSS and JavaScript) locally for faster loading, which is standard browser behaviour unrelated to your personal data.
Third-party links
Pages on this site link to official government resources, such as the PM-JAY beneficiary portal. We don't control those sites, so please review their privacy practices separately.
Children's privacy
This tool is intended for general use and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If how this site works ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page will be updated with a new "last updated" date above.
